Job Description
As a School Mentor, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting school teams comprising students and teachers through a transformative journey of learning and innovation. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Training school teams on design thinking and project management concepts.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to help teams develop creative solutions to real world challenges.
- Facilitating collaborative workshops and activities to foster teamwork and creativity.
- Supporting teams in preparing for a public exhibition of their project.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Arts, or a related field.
- Experience working with young learners in schools or educational settings.
- Proficiency in design thinking methodologies and project management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage andmmotivate diverse groups of learners.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for nurturing creativity and innovation in young minds.
- Availability for a 2-month engagement period, with a commitment of approximately 8 -10 hours per week.
- Ability to commute to schools within Port Harcourt for on-site engagements (logistics will be provided).
