Role Description

• This is a volunteer hybrid role as the Director of Donor Relations for Better You Africa Initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with donors and supporters.


• You will develop and implement strategies for planned giving and annual giving programs, alumni relations, and philanthropy.


• You will also manage donor databases, organize fundraising events, and collaborate with the team to ensure effective communication and stewardship of donors.


• While based in Lagos, this role allows for flexibility to work remotely.

Qualifications

• Experience in planned giving, annual giving, and donor relations


• Proficiency in managing donor databases


• Strong knowledge of philanthropy principles and best practices


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and supporters


• Experience in organizing fundraising events


• Passion for education and community health awareness


• Ability to work independently and remotely


• Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus


• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
