Responsibilities



  • Installation of new machinery and electrical systems, including wiring, switches, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and other electrical components

  • Conduct routine inspections to identify electrical issues such as faulty wiring, malfunctioning equipment, or outdated components

  • Use knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify the root causes of electrical problems that occur when they occur

  • Adhering to local, national, and industry-specific electrical codes and regulations to ensure the safety and compliance of electrical systems

  • Upgrading existing electrical systems to accommodate new technologies or higher power demands

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members, such as Mechanical technicians, engineers, safety managers, and vendors, suppliers, workers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with the overall Plant Electrical system

  • Maintain accurate records of work, including installation plans, maintenance schedules, repair logs, and any modifications made to electrical systems

  • Handling electrical hazards, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and following safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries

  • Stay informed about advancements in electrical technology, tools, and techniques through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

  • Pursue additional certifications or credentials to enhance skills and knowledge in the field


 Requirements



  • Preventive Maintenance skills on Electrical switch Gear Units like, PCC, MCC, Starters, etc

  • Knowledge of Utility Equipment like Air Compressor, Boiler, Diesel generators and Water Treatment

  • Knowledge of PLC architecture and programming software

  • Ability to read, interpret, modify and develop ladder logic programs

  • Ability to set and install VFD

  • Ability to test, install and maintain 1-ph and 3-ph electrical motors

  • Knowledge of ETP, Boreholes, Lighting, etc

  • Troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems is required but not mandatory

  • Commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols

  • Ability to prepare reports using the Microsoft Office suite

  • Good team player

  • Good communication skills
