To Carry Out Your Role



  • Develop and execute content plans to expand PressOne Africa's website with engaging, informative, and SEO-friendly pages.

  • Craft compelling copy for feature pages, use case pages, comparison pages, and other website sections that drive customer understanding.

  • Collaborate with designers and the SEO Specialist to optimize pages for both users and search engines.

  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and style guide ensuring all content aligns with our messaging.

  • Track content performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.


The Ideal Candidate



  • A gifted storyteller with a passion for crafting persuasive web copy (minimum 3 years of web content writing experience).

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and how to write for the web.

  • Experience using a content management system (CMS) like WordPress.

  • Self-starter with strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • Content Creation: Write and edit engaging, informative, and SEO-friendly copy for various web pages, including product pages, feature pages, and landing pages.

  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop a content calendar aligning with our overall marketing goals.

  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all web content maintains a consistent brand voice, tone, and style.

  • Optimisation and Updates: Regularly review and update existing website content to enhance user experience and boost search rankings.

  • Reporting & Analysis: Use web analytics to track content performance (page views, time on page, bounce rates) and identify areas for improvement.


Requirements


What You Should Have



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in web content writing, with a portfolio showcasing your work.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Basic knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword research.

  • Proficiency with WordPress is a plus.
