  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports, in accordance with local regulations and accounting standards.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts. Monitor performance against budgets and provide analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring proper documentation of transactions.

  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements.

  • Audit Coordination: Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, responding to inquiries, and implementing audit recommendations to strengthen internal controls.

  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash balances to optimize liquidity while minimizing risk.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insightful recommendations to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to foster professional development and ensure departmental objectives are met.


Qualifications And Skills



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management roles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian accounting principles and tax regulations.

  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
