As a Front Desk Officer, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff entering the hospital. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a welcoming and efficient experience for all individuals while maintaining a professional and organized front desk area. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment with compassion and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Greet patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing assistance and direction as needed.

  • Register patients by collecting and verifying personal and insurance information accurately.

  • Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely service delivery.

  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly, directing calls to appropriate departments or individuals as necessary.

  • Coordinate patient admissions and discharges, assisting with paperwork and facilitating smooth transitions.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, including managing patient forms, informational materials, and office supplies.

  • Assist in managing patient flow by coordinating with medical staff and other departments to minimize wait times and maximize efficiency.

  • Respect patient confidentiality and privacy by safeguarding sensitive information and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

  • Collaborate with other hospital staff members to ensure seamless operations and exceptional patient care.


Qualifications:



  • BSc./ BA/ HND

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office suite.
