Job Summary


As a Senior Business Development Manager specializing in card issuing, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our market presence. Leveraging your expertise in fintech and payments, you will identify strategic opportunities, forge key partnerships, and drive revenue growth through effective business development initiatives.


Job Details



  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, prioritize, and cultivate strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, payment networks, and other relevant stakeholders to expand our card-issuing capabilities, and Take ownership of relationship management with stakeholders and channel partners (e.g., Credit Bureau, Card Schemes, Sponsor Bank) regarding business sales requirements and expansion.

  • Client Acquisition and Retention: Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and initial contact to contract negotiation and onboarding, to acquire new clients and retain existing ones.

  • Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor strategies, and untapped opportunities in the card issuing landscape, Provide accurate and timely market information on selected market sectors to drive the future marketing and product strategies.

  • Product Positioning and Differentiation: Collaborate with the product development team to position our card-issuing solutions effectively, ensuring alignment with market needs and competitive differentiation.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with all key internal stakeholders to maximize business development opportunities including Marketing, Channel expansion, and Product Management teams.

  • Revenue Growth and Performance Metrics: Set ambitious revenue targets, develop actionable strategies to achieve them, and track performance metrics to measure progress and optimize outcomes.

  • Thought Leadership and Industry Engagement: Establish yourself as a thought leader in the fintech and payments space through participation in industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements.

  • Reporting: Presenting to the Executive Management monthly, the revenue performance analysis of the organization with recommendations towards accessing the business growth trajectory for decision-making.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or partnership management roles within the fintech or payments industry.

  • Deep understanding of card issuing, payments infrastructure, and regulatory landscape.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and market insights into actionable strategies.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for driving innovation and growth.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead cross-functional teams towards common goals.

  • 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 of which must be leading a high-performing team

  • Previous experience in marketing or sales required in card and account payment services/products experience is a plus.

  • Proven history of consistently meeting and exceeding set targets and familiarity with goal-setting.

  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills 

  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines

  • Flexibility and ability to work autonomously in a demanding and ambiguous environment

  • A good team player, self-motivated, result-oriented, mature, and aggressive with a good sense of marketing.

  • Capable of driving projects independently and under pressure.

  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to make sound business decisions.

  • Excellent project management, time management, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
