Job Description

• Execute the deployment of underground fibre optics network cabling


• Supervise activities involved in installation and implementation of fibre cables for a network such as digging trenches, laying the cables to ensure proper connection.


• Provide on-site supervision and guidance to OSP technicians and contractors to ensure work is performed according to project specifications and safety standards.


• Installation and maintenance of outdoor infrastructure necessary for transmitting and distributing fiber optic signals effectively and securely.


• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure that fibre installations meet industry standards and client expectations.


• Execute premises cabling and take care ofunderground and underwater cabling requirements


• Performing troubleshooting on fiber optic networks to identify problems and provide solutions


• Resolve, repair and install fiber optics systems and ensure that they work properly


• Examine and replace faulty and old fiber optic cables and also organize scheduled maintenance routines


• Knowledge of aerially installed fibre optics cable networks would be an advantage

Requirements

• Candidates should possess B.Sc Degrees with 7+ years relevant work experience.
