Job Description

• As a Field Fire Team Member, the role holder will be responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities in the event of fires or emergencies at our operational sites.

Responsiblities

• Respond promptly to fire alarms, emergencies, and other incidents at operational sites. Coordinate with other team members to assess the situation and develop an effective response strategy.


• Execute firefighting operations using a variety of techniques and equipment, including hoses, nozzles, foam, and specialized firefighting agents. Safely operate firefighting vehicles and equipment to suppress fires and prevent escalation.


• Handle hazardous materials (Hazmat) incidents effectively, including containment, neutralization, and cleanup procedures.


• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements regarding Hazmat handling.


• Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and testing of firefighting equipment, including fire extinguishers, hoses, pumps, and protective gear.


• Report any issues or deficiencies and assist in arranging repairs or replacements as needed.


• Participate in regular training sessions, drills, and simulations to maintain proficiency in firefighting techniques, emergency response procedures, and equipment operation.


• Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.


• Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory guidelines at all times.


• Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant safety standards and best practices in the oil and gas industry.


• Complete accurate incident reports, documentation, and post incident debriefings following emergency response activities.


• Ensure all relevant information is recorded in accordance with company protocols and regulatory requirements.


• Work closely with other members of the Field Fire Team, as well as personnel from different departments and external agencies, to coordinate emergency response efforts and achieve common objectives.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of firefighting techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.


• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, effective decisions in emergency situations.
