  • Multigate seeking to expand her revenue team and is seeking a dynamic FX Sales Trader to help drive continued growth. The role involves a 360-degree approach, encompassing research, prospecting, client acquisition, onboarding, and initial account management.

  • This is a challenging but rewarding role, providing opportunities for career growth and development within our organization.

  • The FX Sales Trader will be responsible for playing a crucial role in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding our client base. In this non-people management role, you will focus on FX sales, account management, and client relationship development.

  • You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, building strong client relationships, and providing expert advice on FX trading and financial products.


Duties/Responsibilities



  • Efficiently execute on FX trade requests from clients swiftly while protecting margins

  • Develop and execute sales trading strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.

  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of business, ensuring full coverage and utilization of the trading book.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.

  • Manage corporate client relationships to drive consistent FX order flow

  • Drive new corporate business through direct sales, following a 'hunter' approach under the guidance of the Chief Revenue Officer.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and networking abilities.

  • Knowledge of business needs and concerns and must be able to demonstrate success in new business sales in a dynamic environment consistently achieving or exceeding targets.

  • Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, and especially the Foreign Exchange market with a focus on Africa is required.

  • Familiarity with deliverable FX market regulations and compliance (preferred)

  • Knowledge of the foreign exchange markets and trading platforms (preferred)

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Leveraging market knowledge and information to give Multigate an advantage in serving its clients

  • Understand clients' financial goals and risk tolerance to tailor FX solutions accordingly.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.

  • Stay updated on market trends, economic news, and relevant financial products.

  • Develop a strategic approach for identifying and prospecting new clients.

  • Guide clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition into our platform.

  • Provide clients with comprehensive information about our products and services.

  • Address client inquiries and concerns during the onboarding phase.

  • Manage and nurture client relationships to ensure satisfaction.

  • Stay updated on market developments.


Required Skills/Abilities



  • Candidate must have a deep understanding of consultative sales principles, be adept at executive corporate level negotiations, and building long-term client relationships.

  • Knowledge of business needs and concerns and must be able to demonstrate success in new business sales in a dynamic environment consistently achieving or exceeding targets.

  • Excellent client acquisition skills as well as experience building relationships with people of varying levels of seniority in the banking and non-banking financial services industry.

  • Demonstrated B2B FX trading & payment solutions experience with proven track record in FX sales, account management, or a related financial sales role

  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently as part of a team..

  • Demonstrable experience of working towards targets in a fast paced environment.

  • Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, and especially the Foreign Exchange market with a focus on Africa is required.

  • High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.

  • A can-do, enthusiastic and helpful attitude.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and networking abilities.

  • Proficient in relevant software and tools for tracking and reporting.

  • IT literate; proficient in CRM, EXCEL and Word.

  • Ambitious, confident with high integrity and tenacity to bring value to a tight knit team.
