This is a full-time on-site role for a Quantity Surveyor at Geophase Resources Limited. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost control, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost management, cost planning, and cost reporting.
To be successful as a quantity surveyor, you should possess a methodical approach and superb interpersonal skills.
Outstanding quantity surveyors are not only great at analyzing costs, but they also know how to read people and tailor their negotiation strategies to ensure the best possible outcome.
The role will involve working on-site in Ikeja.
Responsibilities
Proficiency in cost control, cost management, and cost reporting
Experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
Strong skills in cost planning
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of construction and engineering principles
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work well in a team
Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
Material procurement and monitoring
Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management or related field with no less than a 2nd class lower.
4-5 years experience as a Quantity surveyor.
Construction estimating or finance experience is required.
Relevant certifications are an added advantage
Sound knowledge of the construction industry.
High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
