Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for a Quantity Surveyor at Geophase Resources Limited. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost control, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost management, cost planning, and cost reporting.


• To be successful as a quantity surveyor, you should possess a methodical approach and superb interpersonal skills.


• Outstanding quantity surveyors are not only great at analyzing costs, but they also know how to read people and tailor their negotiation strategies to ensure the best possible outcome.


• The role will involve working on-site in Ikeja.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in cost control, cost management, and cost reporting


• Experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ)


• Strong skills in cost planning


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities


• Attention to detail and accuracy


• Knowledge of construction and engineering principles


• Effective communication and negotiation skills


• Ability to work well in a team


• Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.


• Material procurement and monitoring


• Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.


• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management or related field with no less than a 2nd class lower.


• 4-5 years experience as a Quantity surveyor.


• Construction estimating or finance experience is required.


• Relevant certifications are an added advantage


• Sound knowledge of the construction industry.


• High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
