Job Brief



  • Our client requires the service of a Machine Technical Sales Manager to deliver excellent sales support to our customers and to support business development initiatives and OEM acquisitions (primarily Syntegon Technology).

  • In this role, the responsible person will interface with the COC, the organization, and the customers to drive the deliverables.


Job Description



  • To set smart new machine sales targets in line with the company’s financial status with profitability in mind.

  • To pursue sales leads and visit existing and new customers such as food manufacturers, pharmaceuticals (confectioneries, biscuits, flour mills, dairy foods, liquid foods, chocolates, and pharmaceuticals).

  • To assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services from the organization’s portfolios

  • To respond to customer enquiries; and proffer appropriate service

  • To manage projects based on COC agreements (price indications, offers, firm offers, and delivery times; and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets, based on project structure).

  • Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.

  • Office work, including admin tasks (salesforce platform, weekly reporting and meeting,).

  • To establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and forecasts, and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met.

  • To seek out new customers and new opportunities for driving revenue

  • To build long-term relationships with key contacts at target customers for repeat project sales

  • To apply learning and experiences to streamline sales processes

  • To initiate promotional events for the company

  • To initiate business development activities for the company in anglophone countries.

  • To suggest and drive approved marketing strategies for product awareness in the West and Central African region

  • To represent the company at trade events

  • To analyze sales trends, market dynamics, and reports to determine business growth potential

  • To manage sales pipeline/project by updating probabilities and reporting the updates during meetings and moving to the execution phase- project overview template

  • To develop and deliver sales presentations to prospective customers

  • Manage the market research team, or outsource it as agreed by the board

  • Frequent interface with COC contacts via regular emails, phone calls, and periodic visit reports as required

  • Use various lead generation tools, such as website, blog, Linkedin, promotions, word of mouth, trade show, market research, cold calling, emails, etc. To create a database of potential targets.

  • Create other new business opportunities that align with the company’s agreed business portfolios. Generating revenue and being profitable

  • Introduce, promote, and manage other OEMS with which we have contracts, such as Carugil, Flavour Sensation, Bosch Power Tool, and Bosch AA.


Key Performance Indicators



  • New machine turnover/order intake (Minimum of USD350k/Year Sales)

  • Successful project management from start to handover

  • Number of good leads generated

  • Prompt sharing of visit report (the role reports to the sales director responsible for West African market)

  • Customer satisfaction survey (5 key customer reviews)

  • COC satisfaction review.


Requirements / Qualifications



  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Master in Business Administration is an advantage.

  • 2 - 3 years of experience professional experience in sales or export department is an added advantage

  • Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus.

  • Knowledge and skills: proficiency in it-systems e.g., SAP, Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication skills with international customers and partners.U

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


Salary

N450,000 - N500,000 Monthly.
