Job Description: 


Marketing Manager/Team Lead for the Marketing Department. 


Duties and Responsibilities: 



  1. Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income streams for the company.

  2. Assist in developing a business plan and sales strategy that ensures the attainment of company sales goals and profitability.

  3. Prepare an action plan for self for an effective search for new clients, sales leads and prospects.

  4. Assist in the initiation, development and coordination of business presentations and action plans to penetrate new corporate clients.

  5. Provide timely feedback to the Head of Sales regarding performance.

  6. Maintain accurate records of all sales activity.

  7. Make presentations on set targets and review of previous and planned activities during the weekly sales meeting.

  8. Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.

  9. Create and conduct proposal presentations and ‘request for proposals’ (RFP) responses.

  10. Adhere to company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.

  11. Possess drive, motivation and attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities are captured and explored.

  12. Identify and resolve client complaints and enquiries promptly.

  13. Product presentation to potential clients through direct communication and Telemarketing.

  14. Establish, maintain and follow up on existing and potential clients, build client loyalty, obtain referrals and manage client database.

  15. Facilitates at least one internal training in a year.

  16. Check insurance claims to solidify trust and safeguard the reputation.

  17. Prepare reports for insurance underwriters.

  18. Advise clients on making claims on their policies.

  19. Renew or amend existing policies for clients.

  20. Market services, collect insurance premiums and,

  21. Perform other duties as may be assigned.


Job Requirements: 



  1. Marketing or any related discipline.

  2. 3-5 years of work experience as a Business Development Officer in the Financial Service Institution, most preferably in the Insurance sector

  3. Professional Marketing, Management or Insurance certificates will be an added advantage.

  4. A strong background in Insurance.

  5. Vast Experience in Insurance Broking Marketing.

  6. Must be sociable and possess excellent communication skills.

  7. Must have a good understanding of general insurance and life insurance businesses.

  8. Must be ready to resume immediately.
