Position Overview:


As an Ambulance Driver], you will play a crucial role in our emergency medical response team. You will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey. In addition to driving duties, you will also assist Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in providing basic medical care to patients when necessary.


Responsibilities:



  • Operate ambulance vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and transport patients to medical facilities in a timely manner

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical personnel, and other drivers to coordinate patient pick-ups and drop-offs

  • Assist EMTs in lifting and moving patients onto stretchers and into ambulances

  • Provide basic medical care and first aid to patients as directed by medical personnel

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of ambulance vehicles, ensuring that all medical equipment is properly stocked and functioning

  • Complete documentation and reports accurately and promptly


Requirements:



  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations

  • Physical ability to lift and move patients safely

  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Prior experience as an ambulance driver or in a similar role preferred
