Job Description



Our Client, one of the fastest growing indigenous companies providing Oil and Gas downstream services with their head office in the commercial city of Lagos are looking to bring on-board the services of a Chartered Accountant. 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Handles all aspects of assigned book-keeping activities such as reconciliations, journals, and nominal ledger administration by updating the accounting application with transactions as they occur.

  • Posts invoices, cash book transactions and prepares bank reconciliation statements

  • Documents and update records of all fixed assets to ensure assets are properly valued, accounted for and safeguarded

  • Monitors budget by performance evaluation and analysis of variances

  • Manages invoices with respect to trucking activities

  • Computes the amounts to remit for various deductibles e.g. Pensions & PAYE

  • Processes the periodic payroll for the group

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, depending on role

  • Utilize database software (Sage) to organize financial account information

  • Handle account inquiries from internal and external sources

  • Review both incoming and outgoing invoices

  • Inventory reconciliations. 

  • Preparation of statement of product allocations and price notifications. to customers

  • Prepares vessel profitability statements. 

  • Preparation of VAT & WHT schedules

  • Preparation of payments to be made for uploads on the Banking Platform.

  • Preparation of overhead expenses report


Requirements



  • Minimum of 3 years as an Accountant/Accounts Officer preferably in Oil & Gas industry. 

  • First degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar discipline

  • ACA/ICAN Certification is mandatory.
