Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire production process, from planning and scheduling to execution and delivery


• Coordinate with engineering and design teams to ensure product specifications are met


• Develop and implement production strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs


• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines


• Manage and motivate production staff to ensure high levels of productivity and quality


• Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards


• Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste


• Identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner, implementing corrective actions as necessary

Requirements

• A minimum of HND/bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields.


• Minimum of 5 - 8 years’ work experience on PVC extruders, and as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role.


• Should have hands of experience on PVC machine start up, change of dies, setting of machines for minimum rejection.


• Should have knowledge on mechanical and electrical repairs of the extruder.


• Should have good experience to handle a large workforce.


• Should have knowledge on quality norms of PVC pipes.


• Should have exposure to ERP and MS office.
