Job Summary

• Project Supervisor with a Civil Engineering or Building Tech. background to assist in overseeing construction coordination, structural design, design coordination and project supervision up to the completion of the finishing stages.


• Emphasis shall be placed on hands-on experience in construction knowledge, structural design and supervision of project of mixed-use development.


• The Project Supervisor will report directly to the Project Manager.

Job Details

• Involve in structural design, design coordination (of structural consultants and head office design team)


• Peer review of design and value engineering


• Monitor assigned construction workstreams on site ensuring that all workers deliver to expected high standards and on time


• Assist Project manager when requested, to identify suitable sub-contractors for certain aspects of the construction work


• Participate in material selection for finishing/finishes. Specifying the nature and quality of materials required for a project


• Generate moor /sample board for approval


• Quality control inspection of all finishing materials delivered to site by suppliers and sub-contractors, rejecting defected items


• Coordinate and direct finishing sub-contractors and ensure that work is delivered on time and to agreed standards/quality.


• Provide project status updates to management through the Project Manager on a regular basis.


• Working collaboratively in a dynamic office setting, contributing to all phases of planning, design and construction administration.


• Cooperating in the development of designs using relevant design software.


• Liaise with Engineering Team  to producing detailed work drawings and specifications as well as pictorial presentations for clarity.


• Supervise the choice of material sample for implementation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years hand-on post-NYSC related experience in building construction and design


• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Eng or Building Technology from a reputable institution. 


• Membership of relevant Professional bodies is compulsory.


• Proficient in architectural System and Knowledge.


• Proficiency with Architectural Software (i.e. AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).


• Proficiency with Structural Engineering Software (Civil-Soft etc.).
