Position Overview:



  • As the Financial Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our organization.

  • Drawing upon your expertise in financial management and healthcare/nonprofit finance, you will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, grant management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and oversee financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets, working closely with department heads and program managers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.

  • Manage grant funding, including proposal development, budgeting, reporting, and compliance monitoring.

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.

  • Conduct regular financial reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure transparency and accountability.

  • Collaborate with external auditors, government agencies, and funding partners to facilitate audits and reviews as required.

  • Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers on financial matters, including training and capacity-building initiatives.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the healthcare or nonprofit sector.

  • Strong understanding of nonprofit finance principles, fund accounting, and grant management.

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to communicate financial information effectively to diverse stakeholders.

  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality.
