As an Addiction Therapist Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in our mission to support individuals in overcoming addiction and reclaiming their lives. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide counseling, psychoeducation, and support services to individuals and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' addiction history, mental health status, and treatment needs.

Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, addressing topics such as substance use, relapse prevention, coping skills, and life management.
Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families on addiction, recovery principles, and healthy lifestyle practices.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including medical professionals, social workers, and community organizations, to ensure coordinated care and support.
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in addiction treatment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Certification or licensure in addiction counseling or a willingness to work towards certification.
Previous experience in addiction treatment, counseling, or related field is preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of addiction dynamics, recovery principles, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
