Position Overview:



  • As the Laboratory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of laboratory operations, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely test results while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols.

  • You will lead a team of laboratory professionals, manage laboratory resources, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including CLIA, CAP, and other applicable accreditation standards.

  • Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control processes to maintain the accuracy and reliability of test results.

  • Oversee the procurement and maintenance of laboratory equipment, instruments, and supplies.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to laboratory staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of laboratory services.

  • Monitor and analyze laboratory performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.

  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent certification required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in laboratory management, preferably in a healthcare setting.

  • Strong understanding of laboratory operations, regulatory requirements, and quality management principles.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS) and other relevant software applications

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and upholding ethical standards.
