Role Description



  • This is a full-time on-site role as a Chief Financial Director (Expatriate) located in Lagos.

  • The Chief Financial Director will be responsible for financial planning, financial statements, analytical skills, finance, and financial reporting.

  • The day-to-day tasks include overseeing financial operations, analyzing financial data, providing strategic financial advice, developing financial plans, and ensuring financial compliance.


Requirement:



  • We are searching for a seasoned Expat Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) with a minimum of 10 years of combined experience in Senior Management role. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills.

  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification.

  • English as first language (fluency mandatory).

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working overseas in the chief financial officer role, preferably in Nigeria.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the FMCG industry.

  • Proven track record of success in managing Finance & Accounts and IT departments within a large organization.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Superior communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Desirable:



  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

  • Experience with financial reporting standards (IFRS preferred).

  • Financial Planning, Financial Statements, and Financial Reporting skills

  • Knowledge of Nigerian business regulations and tax laws.

  • Experience in multinational corporations is preferred


Responsibilities:



  • Direct and oversee the Finance & Accounts and IT departments, ensuring efficient and compliant financial management, reporting, and IT infrastructure operations.

  • Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the Managing Director and other senior leaders.

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.

  • Oversee the implementation and utilization of ERP and CRM systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365).

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.

  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing departments to develop and implement strategies that drive revenue growth.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
