Key Areas of Responsibility



  • Provide strategic leadership for the finance department, developing a strong team capable of supporting business growth.

  • Ensure timely and high-quality financial information by preparing and presenting periodic financial reports to executive management and stakeholders.

  • Proactively manage cash flow, liaise with banks for financial facilities, and support decision-making with the executive team.

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including compliance, financial reporting, tax submissions, and internal controls.

  • Cultivate strong relationships across the organization, communicating effectively and promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.

  • Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial laws, accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.


Qualifications and Experience



  • Bachelor’s Degree / HND Accounting, Finance, or related field (possession of MBA or MSC will be an added advantage).

  • Extensive experience in financial management, with 9 -12 years of progressive experience within the gas or related industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.

  • Strong technical accounting skills and hands-on experience with IFRS, SEC/NGX/FRCN and other statutory/regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent understanding of Nigerian Tax laws such as CITA, PAYE, CGT, VAT, WHT etc.

  • Excellent knowledge of Sage Accounting Package (ACCPAC).

  • Expert skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.

  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

  • Expertise in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing company is advantageous.

  • Not more than 45 years

  • Must be detail-oriented and possess good prioritization skills to ensure relevancy, accuracy, and quality of output.
