Job Summary:
Join our dynamic IT startup team as an HR, Legal & Compliance Officer, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our company's growth trajectory. We're seeking an agile and resourceful professional to oversee our HR functions, ensure legal compliance, and establish robust policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the fast-paced nature of a startup environment
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent in the tech industry, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a vibrant company culture conducive to innovation and collaboration
- Design and implement performance management systems tailored to the unique needs of our tech-driven workforce
- Manage compensation and benefits programs to remain competitive in the IT startup landscape
- Stay abreast of legal developments and regulatory requirements relevant to the tech industry, ensuring compliance in all aspects of HR and operations
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that reflect our startup ethos while safeguarding our legal and ethical standing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance challenges and mitigate risks associated with rapid growth and innovation
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on HR, legal, and compliance matters, providing strategic guidance to support our business objectives
- Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in HR, legal, and compliance, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization
Requirements:
- Proven experience in HR management, preferably within the technology sector or startup environment
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building rapport and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with a solutions-oriented mindset and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field; additional certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, JD) preferred
- Experience with HRIS platforms and other HR technology tools is a plus
Preferred:
- Prior experience in legal and compliance roles, particularly within the tech industry or startup ecosystem
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and cybersecurity best practices
- Knowledge of intellectual property law and contract management principles relevant to software development and technology licensing
