Communicating with other departments within the company to provide them with financial information they need to do their jobs
Reviewing financial statements to ensure they are accurate, using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xerox to keep track of accounts
Preparing reports such as profit and loss statements, cash flow analyses, or balance sheets
Preparing tax returns for companies or individuals, including personal income tax returns and corporate tax returns
Creating budgets and monitoring expenditures to ensure adherence to established budgets
Preparing payroll for all employees covered by federal and state labor laws
Working closely with executive management to formulate long-term financial planning strategies for the company
Reviewing financial statements from external sources such as banks and investment firms
Preparing reports and analyses that help managers make important business decisions, such as evaluating the performance of specific departments or identifying new business opportunities
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
ACA or ICAN certified is preferable
Minimum of 4 years’ experience as head of account in a reputable organization.
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
Proven ability to track and manage several projects simultaneously
Ability to work both under supervision and independently
Proven management experience.
Knowledge of market research techniques.
Working knowledge of CRM software.
Understanding of budgeting and reporting.
Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
