Identify and analyze potential risks associated with the various aspects of the assets’ operations, including strategic, financial, and reputational risks.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks on the company's objectives, and projects, on the asset(s).
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate or minimize identified risks. This will involve developing contingency plans, implementing risk treatments or controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Risk Manager - CRM, Project Management Professional - PMP, Chartered Financial Analyst - CFA) may be preferred or advantageous.
Strong understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, including exploration, drilling, production, reservoir management, and field development processes.
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices related to health, safety, environment, and regulatory compliance (e.g., API standards, ISO 31000, OSHA regulations).
Familiarity with risk management software, data analytics tools, and digital technologies used for risk assessment, reporting, and decision support (e.g., enterprise risk management systems, predictive analytics, GIS software).
