Job Description
As a Material Planner, you'll be dedicated to ensuring on-time delivery from the launch to the customer. You’ll play a key role in our manufacturing plan, coordinating and expediting the flow of materials. Planning and scheduling according to production needs, you'll use in-depth knowledge of concepts, methods and procedures.
As a Materials Planner, you will be responsible for:
- Working with the region sales and operations to create the regional forecast (12-18 month) and global forecasts.
- Analyzing incoming demand: identifies order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory
- Planning and scheduling order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping cost.
- Performing various material management analysis, forecasts, aged inventory, aged purchase orders, in-transit material analysis, safety stock, etc.
- Monitoring levels of safety stock, global and aging inventory and works with regions and manufacturing plants to address accordingly.
- Working to ensure new assets, repaired assets and spares are captured with the Sales & Operations Planning process.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any related field from an accredited university.
- Have at least 3 years Supply Chain or related field or equivalent accredited experience.
- Have completed compulsory NYSC program.
- Have demonstrate basic understanding of SAP and MRP functionality (mandatory).
- Have experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization and management.
- Have the ability to work with and influence stakeholders and tactical execution with a sense of urgency.
