We are looking for experienced Electrical Design Engineers to contribute towards the preparation of Electrical designs and deliverables for basic/conceptual, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) of green/brownfield onshore/offshore projects according to design specifications, international codes and standards.
Responsibilities
Electrical Deliverables such as Sizing, Calculations, Selections, Specifications, Data Sheets (for Electrical Equipment such as Transformers, electric Motors, Switchgears, Distribution Boards, Cables, etc), Schedules and mark ups on drawings.
Integration of newly installed Electrical Equipment with existing facilities.
Review adequacy of Existing Power Systems such as MCC Switchgears to accommodate additional loads.
Develop and Produce Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Cable Routing Layouts, Protection and Metering, one Line Diagrams, Control Circuit Schematic & Motor Termination Diagrams, Electrical Cable Tray and trench Layouts
Determine Fault Level Current and Short Circuit Analysis for Switchgears, Transformers Electric Motors.
Perform Assessment, Hazard Area Classification (HAC) of newly installed equipment and integrate them to existing HAC drawings.
Review and Generate Material Take Off (MTO) list for ongoing projects.
Suggest response to technical issues/queries from clients and vendors
Adherence to the prepared Master Document Register as it concerns Electrical discipline
Have a good grasp on identifying and tracking engineering processes and ensuring they are timely, cost effective and compliant with all relevant regulatory and quality standards.
Requirements
B.Eng. Electrical Engineering or relevant field
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in similar role
Experience shall include design engineering in green and brown field projects.
Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as ASME, ANSI, NACE and API.
Familiarity with oil and gas industry design specifications and practices.
Thorough working knowledge of the latest design engineering, analytical techniques and software programs.
Strong IT skills (a good understanding and use of PDMS and Caesar 11).
