Job Description



Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the sale of the company’s products in Nigeria. You will provide ongoing support to distribute products in the entire country. Additionally, you will manage Regional Sales Managers. You will ensure profitable growth in sales, revenue through planning, execution and management of a supportive team.


Other Responsibilities:



  • Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products

  • Research consumer needs and identify how the company’s products address them

  • Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analysing performance data, and making forecasts

  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands the customer base and extends the company's global reach

  • Recruit sales representatives, set objectives, train and coach them, and monitor their performance 

  • Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships that address their needs

  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop plans for filling them

  • Ensure that company quotas are met by holding daily check-ins with sales team to set objectives and monitor progress

  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes


Required Qualifications and Skills:



  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing sales in a corporate setting. Preferred in a snacks manufacturing company.

  • Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing.

  • Experience in penetration of new products into the local market.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems.

  • Superb leadership ability

  • Proven record in creating a full sales team, pan Nigeria.

  • Ability to travel at least 40% of the time
