Job Description

• The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of solar installation projects, from site inspection and assessment to system design, implementation, and post-installation management and supervision of junior engineers.


• This role requires a proactive and solution-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, IT proficiency, and a focus on project cost management and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to assess feasibility and gather relevant data for solar installation projects.


• Perform detailed assessments and design proposals to identify the best possible solar energy solutions based on customer requirements and site conditions.


• Coordinate and oversee the installation process, ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry standards.


• Manage and provide technical guidance to the installation team, ensuring efficient and high-quality project execution.


• Develop and prepare accurate bill of quantities (BOQ) for various projects, considering all necessary components and materials.


• Monitor and manage project costs to ensure profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.


• Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to establish and implement efficient project management processes and protocols.


• Prepare regular reports, including project status updates, financial analysis, and performance evaluations.


• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to solar energy installations.


• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.


• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous learning and development.


• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment for all installation

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an HND, B.Sc, M.Sc Degree with 7-10 years experience.


• Proven experience in site inspections, system design, and implementation of solar energy solutions.


• Strong technical expertise and knowledge of solar energy systems, components, and installation practices.


• Proficiency in IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel for data analysis and reporting.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.


• Ability to write comprehensive reports and perform review and analysis of project data.


• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality results within specified timelines.


• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage project costs and ensure profitability.
