Summary of Role
Managing and analyzing the company's costs to ensure effective financial planning and control.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual and adhoc management accounts.
- Preparation of separate and consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS
- Review of monthly Balance Sheet schedules and presentation of review comments
- Ad-hoc analysis & reporting as advised by management.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s comprehensive financial reporting strategy aligned with Company's objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in audit and assurance, accounting consulting, and preparation of IFRS financial statements with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role, in oil and gas industry
- Practical Knowledge of IFRS
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division in Accounting, finance, or a related field required.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost control and cost accounting
- Qualified Accountant (ICAN, ACCA)
- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
