Job Description



We seek to recruit a talented and driven Mid-level Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid financial analysis and reporting foundation, with the ability to support key business initiatives and provide insights to senior management.


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support strategic decision-making, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the company and its clients

  • Assist in the preparation of investor presentations and other external communications materials

  • Manage investor relations

  • Complete monthly and annual financial reports in line with IFRS standards

  • Present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with division heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives

  • Monitor and analyse the company’s financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas of opportunity or concern

  • Collaborate with members of the Corporate Finance Division to ensure the company remains compliant with all financial regulations and disclosures

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and external audits

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide analytical support for business initiatives

  • Identify investment opportunities and studying risk factors

  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior management

  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and reporting

  • Advice the company on how to maximize P&L (controlling cost and increasing revenue)

  • Assess and periodically review the company’s accounting processes and controls to ensure inflows and outflows are accurately reported by the accounting team.

  • Support the finance manager in putting in place strong governance and controls across the accounting and finance function


Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; and other relevant professional qualifications

  • An MBA or Masters degree will be an added advantage

  • 4 – 6 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably in one of the Big 4 accounting firms, a reputable accounting firm or an investment bank

  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting principles

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights

  • Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques

  • Proficiency in the use of accounting software e.g. Quick books

  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Experience with financial reporting systems and tools; knowledge of Hyperion or Tableau is a plus

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
