We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager for a business that provides technology services to the oil and gas industry. 


Responsibilities:



  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Business Development division and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

  • Manage team performance for the achievement of the company’s commercial goals and objectives.

  • Develop, implement and manage strategies for the branding, marketing, and advertising of the company’s services

  • Manage both digital and non-digital marketing sections of the company’s business

  • Manage the company’s social media channels and drive engagement levels on said media

  • Develop and implement innovative marketing campaigns for publication on digital platforms (social media, website etc.)

  • Use Search Engine Optimisation to identify and utilise successful digital marketing methods

  • Evaluate the company’s target clients to identify the social media channels that would provide the best opportunities for customer engagement

  • Monitor data analytics to keep management aware of the company's progress in improving digital marketing

  • Conduct extensive market research to identify trends and effective marketing strategies

  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the Business Development division

  • Ensure the consistency and strength of the company’s brand message across all marketing channels and efforts.

  • Identify and pursue new business sector opportunities within the oil and gas industry by sourcing potential leads, relevant Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and tenders.

  • Lead the negotiation and closing of complex sales deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and financial targets.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in marketing and advertising to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

  • Generate accurate and valuable reports and trend analysis for the senior management and the board of directors

  • Report the company’s sales and growth performance to the senior management and the board of directors

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to drive customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Analyse market data, sales performance metrics, and customer feedback to identify improvement areas and optimise business development strategies.


Requirements:



  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, media, communications, or any related field

  • Minimum of 10 -15 years’ experience in marketing, advertising, and lead generation

  • Proven record of success in business development roles within the Oil and Gas industry

  • Exceptional understanding of brand development and marketing and advertising

  • Strong networking abilities and existing relationships within the Oil and Gas community

  • Excellent leadership, supervisory and people management skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with very strong understanding of web analytics, and marketing analytics

  • Proven, hands-on experience deploying, managing, and optimising ad campaigns

  • A strong understanding of marketing automation, CRM, lead scoring, segmentation, revenue attribution and ROI

  • Creativity and commercial awareness

  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to meet client needs

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
