Importation and exportation operations planning and execution.
Liaising with divisional heads that make use of imported inputs to determine requirement
Ensuring international stakeholders are adhering to SON/NAFDAC standards
Ensuring compliance with local registration requirements
Ensuring payables for imports & receivables are managed through financial institution or through direct payment from account department
Reducing exposure to inflated expenses such as customs overcharges and clearing agents surplus (proper negotiation)
Reducing organisation exposure to demurrage charges
Negotiation with shipping companies on rates and other surcharges
Price comparison and notification of price hikes from suppliers
Maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export law and procedures; tariffs and duties; licences and restrictions.
Manage/liaise with stock control, warehousing and distribution activities influenced by or reliant upon import/export activities.
Job Requirements
Qualified and interested candidate should possess a minimum of First Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Purchasing & Supply Management or any other related field from accredited University.
MBA and Relevant Professional Certifications is an added advantage
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and databases
Male or Female
At least Seven (7) years cognate experience in relevant field.
