Job Role

• We are recruiting an IT Officer who will beresponsible for monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks of the organization.


• Also responsible for installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the analysis of potential applications for information technology, to initiate action for improvements to current systems and to co-ordinate, plan and deliver training and support for headquarters and outlets IT users.


• Responsible for the Local Area Network within the headquarters and to ensure that input conventions are established, information is available for all users and to manage the network so as to provide an accurate and timely response to information needs.


• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system.


• Be familiar with all hardware and software and network operating systems.


• Provide orientation to new users of existing technology.


• Manage software and applications used in the organization for effective and efficient delivery


• Ensure timely upgrade of all software; notify Procurement of upgrade requirements or new software requirements where option for upgrade is unavailable


• Document internal procedures.


• Serve as 1st level support officer for the IT Team and ensure user satisfaction; escalate unresolved issues to 2nd and 3rd level support within and outside the team.


• Maintain the Helpdesk application, Create and update Tickets and work orders, and respond quickly to requests in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications and Job Competencies

• Minimum of a B.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science


• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in ICT


• Excellent communication skills.


• Ability to work independently and execute tasks effectively.


• Ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and networks.
