Summary:

The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Boat mechanic position in the General Service Office. The U.S. Mission in Nigeria supports Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA). All genders are welcome to apply.

Duties

Incumbent serves as a Boat Maintenance Mechanic in the General Services Office/ Motor pool (GSO). Responsible for examining problems, repairing, and performing safety checks and periodic maintenance on all consulate boats. May be assigned duties at various Consulate facilities and must be willing to learn vehicle repairs and train other mechanics on boat repairs.

Education Requirements: Completion of secondary School is required. Vocational boat and automotive repair training, or apprenticeship certification is required

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience with different types of Marine boats, including American made boats is required.
