Job Description
To maximize project margin by constantly providing support to the Project Manager on Pre/Post Contract activities. This will require the role holder to have deep understanding of measurement and pricing, construction methodology, cost planning and budgeting, cost control, valuation and variation, contract administration and management, value engineering and procurement advisory.
Strategic Deliverables
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities.
- Tendering and Pricing
- Save cost on projects by managing the company's resources.
- Prepare weekly cost forecast for materials, labour and equipment.
- Coordinates negotiations, valuations and payments.
- Work with minimal supervision.
Job responsibilities
- Preparation of quantities for re-measurement for post contract activities.
- Negotiating with subcontractors and artisans.
- Preparation of site financial report and financial statement.
- Vetting quantities for purpose of payment of artisans.
- Preparation of contract for artisans and subcontractors.
- Onsite re- measurement of contract quantities.
- Cost tracking and monitoring.
- Preparation of final account of assigned projects.
- Taking off Quantities for budget preparation purpose.
- Implementing project budget (direct labour cost and material) on various projects.
- Cost monitoring, reporting and control.
- Supply all relevant information to your line manager for review at the specified intervals and a range of other duties as may be required from time to time.
- To ensure value for money spent on items of work including adequately monitoring assigned materials to different projects Administrative functions.
- Any other task assigned by supervisor.
