Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, including abdominal, obstetrical, gynaecological, vascular, and other speciality areas as needed.


• Capture high-quality ultrasound images using advanced ultrasound equipment.


• Document patient history, examination findings, and technical parameters.


• Maintain a sterile and safe examination environment.


• Ensure patient comfort and privacy during procedures.


• Collaborate with referring physicians to provide accurate and timely interpretations of ultrasound results.


• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology.


• Maintain and ensure proper functioning of ultrasound equipment.


• May participate in quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.


• Registered Sonographer with a minimum of 5 years of experience.


• Strong understanding of ultrasound physics and principles.


• Excellent technical skills in performing ultrasound examinations.


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and physicians.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Compassionate and patient-centered approach.


• Proficiency in medical record documentation.


• Computer literacy, including familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
