Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, including abdominal, obstetrical, gynaecological, vascular, and other speciality areas as needed.
Capture high-quality ultrasound images using advanced ultrasound equipment.
Document patient history, examination findings, and technical parameters.
Maintain a sterile and safe examination environment.
Ensure patient comfort and privacy during procedures.
Collaborate with referring physicians to provide accurate and timely interpretations of ultrasound results.
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology.
Maintain and ensure proper functioning of ultrasound equipment.
May participate in quality assurance activities.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
Registered Sonographer with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Strong understanding of ultrasound physics and principles.
Excellent technical skills in performing ultrasound examinations.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and physicians.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
Proficiency in medical record documentation.
Computer literacy, including familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
