Position Overview



  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountanting Officer to join our team at Eric Kayser an internationally renowned restaurant committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

  • As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing strategic insights to support the restaurant's growth and profitability.


Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis:



  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Conduct variance analysis to identify key drivers affecting financial performance and provide actionable insights to management.


Budgeting and Forecasting:



  • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts aligned with business objectives.

  • Monitor budget performance and work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.


General Ledger Management:



  • Oversee the general ledger accounting process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals to maintain integrity in financial reporting.


Financial Compliance:



  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing financial reporting and taxation.

  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and address any audit findings or recommendations.


Process Improvement:



  • Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and implement solutions to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

  • Leverage accounting software and technology tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve accuracy.


Inventory Management:



  • Oversee inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and analysis of inventory levels.

  • Collaborate with operations team to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.


Team Leadership and Development:



  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, integrity, and accountability in all financial activities.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Proven 4 to 5 years experience in accounting or finance roles within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant environment.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
