  • Position Overview:

  • We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Fundraising Manager to join our team on a volunteer basis.

  • The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission and programs.

  • The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for philanthropy and a proven track record of success in fundraising.


Key Responsibilities:


Fundraising Strategy Development:



  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the organization's goals and priorities.

  • Conduct research and analysis to identify fundraising opportunities, donor segments, and potential sources of funding.

  • Develop creative and innovative approaches to engage donors and increase fundraising revenue.


Donor Cultivation and Relationship Management:



  • Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and other potential funding sources.

  • Cultivate and steward donor relationships through personalized communication, engagement activities, and donor recognition initiatives.

  • Develop strategies to expand the organization's donor base and increase donor retention rates.


Fundraising Campaigns and Events:



  • Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and appeals to generate donations and support for the organization's programs.

  • Develop compelling fundraising materials, including appeals, solicitations, grant proposals, and donor reports.

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote fundraising initiatives and engage supporters through various channels.


Grant Writing and Proposal Development:



  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other grant-making organizations.

  • Prepare grant proposals, applications, and funding requests in accordance with grant guidelines and requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and outcomes, and ensure timely reporting to funders.


Financial Planning and Reporting:



  • Work closely with the finance team to develop annual fundraising budgets, revenue projections, and financial reports.

  • Monitor fundraising progress against targets, identify variances, and implement strategies to address gaps or challenges.

  • Prepare regular reports and updates for the executive team and board of directors on fundraising activities, results, and impact.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or related field, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

  • Proven track record of success in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, with a demonstrated ability to secure major gifts and grants.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively, and inspire others to support the organization's mission.

  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute fundraising plans, set targets, and evaluate performance.

  • Experience in grant writing, proposal development, and grant management preferred.

  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, ethical standards, and legal regulations governing charitable giving.

  • Proficiency in fundraising software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Commitment to the organization's mission, values, and code of ethics.
