Job Summary


As a Warehouse Lead, you will supervise the inbound, storage, inventory and outbound operations of the warehouse you are assigned to. You will leverage your exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills to foster teamwork and boost morale of your team members, as well as identify issues, analyze root causes and implement effective solutions


Job Details



  • Strategically coordinate warehouse operation in compliance with the company's policies and vision. 

  • Supervise inbound, storage and outbound operations of all Vendease products. 

  • Ensure standards of health, safety, hygiene and security are maintained. 

  • Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customers timescales/requirements. 

  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage systems. 

  • Plan work rosters and assign tasks appropriately.

  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, etc.)Conduct, oversee and be responsible for daily spot checks, weekly cycle counts and monthly full counts of warehouse commodities.

  • Ensure proper reconciliation and account for all variances. 

  • Ensure stock rotation based on FEFO within warehouses and facilities in order to prevent stock expiry. 

  • Coordinate responses to orders efficiently so that products are delivered in a timely and accurate manner. 

  • In conjunction with the Inventory & Warehouse Manager, implement warehouse and management systems and working practices in line with best practice and continuous improvement. 

  • Ensure security of the Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring 5S housekeeping standards are maintained at all times. 

  • Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.

  • Record and communicate all shortage issues to the relevant Materials Analyst. 

  • Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.


Requirements



  • 3+ years experience working in a warehouse, preferably in a food industry. 

  • BSc/BTech/HND - Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Technology, Supply Chain Management or any science related field. Professional Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Inventory, Warehouse and Logistics, e.t.c. will be an added advantage. 

  • Knowledge of Inventory Management Systems (SAP, Odoo, Oracle, Navigation, e.t.c) is compulsory. 

  • Knowledge of Food Safety Standards. 

  • Excellent organizational skill. 

  • Ability to prioritize workload with the leadership team and communicate status and risks to delivery effectively, without fail 

  • Detail Oriented

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities 

  • Ability to adjust to evolving circumstances and maintain composure under pressure.
