About the Job



  • We are seeking to hire a Head of Sales & Business Development. The role holder will lead strategic sales efforts to drive significant revenue growth and expand the Aftermarket Products business segment, leveraging a strong client network and extensive experience in the auto parts and automotive industries across Nigeria and Africa.

  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned Senior Sales Professional with a proven track record in high-value negotiations, team leadership, and securing major transactions with importers and distributors, who can drive business initiatives and achieve real-time revenue growth.


Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development & Execution:



  • Strategically roll out and monitor operational targets for the sales team that would be a springboard for individual success and revenue growth.

  • Develop comprehensive sales strategies tailored to our aftermarket products segment.

  • Conceptualize new strategic initiatives that could be built around or benefit from corporate, foundation, government, bilateral organizations, or other partnerships.

  • Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to achieve outcomes based on the set business goal and company-wide strategy.

  • Leverage existing networks to acquire high net-worth clients and oversee the sales process for the business.

  • Plan promotions and seek out volume customers to increase sales.

  • Use market trends and analysing data to identify business opportunities for targeted sales.

  • As brand champion, effectively preparing and delivering pitches and presentations to potential clients.

  • Source and pro-actively manage a partner pipeline to ensure consistent growth and a regular deal flow

  • Grow and manage our provider users and develop strategic systems to ensure retention.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree required. A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a similar field is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic sales and business development.

  • Experience in the automotive industry is crucial. Experience in aftermarket product sales/Procurement/Automotive aftersales is an added advantage.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain relationships with importers, distributors, and other key stakeholders.

  • Proven track record in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities to drive sales growth and increase market penetration.

  • Experience in implementing and managing efficient sales processes, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
