Job Description



Responsibilities



  • Gather and analyze financial data

  • Determine standard costs and investigate variances with actual costs

  • Prepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad-hoc

  • Help management make important decisions biased on costs and benefits (e.g. investments, market growth, pricing changes)

  • Create and manage budgets, and monitor spending

  • Conduct audits on financial processes and transactions

  • Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs

  • Estimate product costs for existing and new products

  • Forecast and analyze costs of processes, labor and inventory

  • Suggest cost-reducing or profitable solutions

  • Conduct market research to support future business planning

  • Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.)

  • Formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements

  • Monitor sales and expenses

  • Give opening and closing stock for kitchen so as to monitor wastages

  • Provide cost of sales so as to control cost and minimize cost of sales

  • Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts

  • Participate in preparation for the annual audit

  • Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies

  • Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances

  • Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records

  • Control wastages in kitchen

  • Provide menu cost and portioning standard

  • Any other task that may be assigned


Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, and finance

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in Cost Control and Audit

  • Extensive knowledge of the data entry management

  • Punctual, reliable, and must have strong communication skill

  • Knowledge of MS office, excel, and Adobe Acrobat

  • Able to work in a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines

  • Strong verbal and oral communication skills

  • Self-motivated and strong analytical skills

  • Attention to detail, prioritization skill and time management

  • Quick learner with a positive attitude

  • Able to sit for an extended period

  • Able to lift the weight and look at the computer screen for a longer time

  • Experience in retail or restaurant accounting
