Responsibilities


As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for:



  • Overseeing and managing the Umuahia Branch

  • Developing and implementing strategies for expanding business growth and portfolio

  • Providing leadership and guidance to relationship Managers within the branch

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Fostering positive and collaborative work environment to drive employee engagement and retention.

  • Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective disbursement opportunities

  • Develop forecasts, financial objectives and business plans

  • Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately

  • Bring out the best of branches’ personnel by providing training, coaching, development and motivation

  • Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities

  • Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly

  • Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws

  • Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.

  • Master's degree is a plus.

  • Microfinance Certification is an added advantage.


Experience:



  • 5 - 8+ years of proven work experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years Experience in a similar role.

  • Proven experience within the finance industry

  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans is required.

  • Male is preferred for gender balance.
