Job Summary:


We are seeking a dynamic and organized Assistant Automobile Workshop Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the Workshop Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high standards of service, and achieving customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Operational Support:



    • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the workshop.

    • Ensure all vehicles are serviced and repaired according to company standards.

    • Coordinate with the Workshop Manager to prioritize and schedule work.




  • Customer Service:



    • Greet customers, assess their needs and provide accurate estimates for services.

    • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

    • Maintain strong customer relationships to foster repeat business.




  • Staff Supervision:



    • Support the Workshop Manager in supervising, training, and mentoring workshop staff.

    • Ensure team adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.

    • Assist in performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.




  • Inventory and Supplies Management:



    • Monitor and manage inventory levels of tools, parts, and supplies.

    • Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of necessary items.

    • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of inventory usage.




  • Quality Control:



    • Oversee the quality of repairs and maintenance work performed.

    • Implement and uphold quality assurance processes.

    • Conduct final inspections and road tests to ensure customer satisfaction.




  • Administrative Tasks:



    • Assist in maintaining accurate records of work orders, invoices, and other documentation.

    • Help in preparing and submitting reports on workshop performance.

    • Manage workshop schedules and appointments.




  • Continuous Improvement:



    • Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing new strategies.

    • Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and techniques.

    • Participate in ongoing training and development programs.




Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in automotive technology or business management is a plus.

  • Proven experience in an automotive workshop environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

  • Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.

  • Proficiency in computer applications and workshop management software.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
