Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify market trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for innovation and expansion in event management.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their event requirements, and expectations, and provide feedback.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster long-term partnerships and repeat business opportunities.
Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, scheduling, and logistics.
Work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of events.
Develop event budgets, track expenses, and monitor financial performance to ensure events are delivered within budget constraints.
Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate vendor contracts, and optimize budget allocation for maximum ROI.
Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate any disruptions to event operations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, insurance requirements, and other legal considerations for event management.
Provide leadership and guidance to the event management team, including event coordinators, planners, and support staff.
Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to event success, client satisfaction, and team performance.
Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback from clients and stakeholders, and implement improvements based on lessons learned.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Social Science, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
Proven experience in event management, with a minimum of 5 years in a strategic leadership/ project management role
Strong understanding of the event industry, market trends, and best practices
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in budgeting, financial management, and project management tools
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
Certification in event planning or project management is a plus
