Work closely with clients’ attorneys and other advisors in the drafting of trusts and other legal documents, working collaboratively to ensure that trust accounts accepted by the company are governed by documents that adhere to the company’s standards.
Review other documents, including partnership agreements, MOUs, SLAs and other operating agreements, with a view towards whether they are acceptable to the company.
Draft agreements and other documents relating to the opening, administration and closing of trust accounts.
Prepare Trust Summaries
Prepare and review Distribution Memos and Funds Transfer Forms, and work with Estate Administrators and/or Executors to ensure that the company has received and analyzed all information and documentation necessary for the company to make an informed decision regarding making transfers of assets from trust accounts.
Review all documents that are for the signature of company’s Authorized Signatories
Assist in the representation of the company regarding any pending litigation.
Keep records of all documentation, invoices, receipts, ledgers, bank account statements. All documents related to sale, transfer, or other dispositions of trust/Estate assets.
Ensure integrity of transaction documentation as required by the nature of private trust transactions in line with Estates Administration Laws.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law.
Master’s degree in Law will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in Law practice.
Strong knowledge and application of Islamic estate administration laws/Islamic inheritance laws
Prior work experience within the trust industry would be an advantage.
Problem-solving skills to address complex trust-related issues and conflicts.
