Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with a strong focus on .NET development and expertise in Point of Sale (POS) integrations and card processing.


• As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that power our business and merchant solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of .NET technologies, POS integrations, and card processing to ensure seamless and secure transactions for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of backend systems for our business and merchant solutions using .NET technologies.


• Develop and maintain APIs and microservices to facilitate smooth communication between frontend applications and backend systems.


• Collaborate with POS vendors to integrate and optimize point-of-sale solutions.


• Implement and maintain POS integrations for switching and processing, ensuring compatibility with a variety of hardware and software configurations.


• Utilize deep knowledge of card processing to design and implement secure and efficient payment processing systems.


• Implement and maintain interfaces with card networks and payment gateways to enable seamless transactions.


• Architect scalable and high-performance backend solutions to handle the dynamic and transaction-heavy nature of business/merchant applications.


• Optimize code and infrastructure to ensure low-latency responses for critical transactions.


• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive financial data.


• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to payment processing.


• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of backend systems.


• Maintain thorough documentation of APIs, integrations, and system architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. (Must have completed NYSC)


• Proven experience (4+ years) in backend development using .NET technologies.


• Expertise in POS integrations, including experience working with POS vendors and hardware.


• Strong background in card processing and payment gateways.


• Experience with scalable and high-availability backend systems.


• Knowledge of security principles and best practices in financial applications.


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.


• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
