Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
Order, perform,interpret tests/reports, and other examinationsto diagnose patients' condition.
Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
Provide medical support to midwives in the delivery of babies.
Execute minor surgical procedures on patients to remove, repair, or improve functioning of diseased or injured body parts and systems.
To provide quality medical care to patients
Ensure comprehensive, accurate and concise medical records are collected and maintained for patients with an appropriate signature.
Participate in clinical audit and quality programs as appropriate. etc
Job Requirements
MBBS or equivalent
Experience: at least 1 year post NYSC work experience
Must possess a valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
Proficiency with the use of EMR
Basic Surgical Skills.
Must possess NYSC discharge Certificate or Exemption letter.
Must be familiar with the operation of HMOs/NHIS
Excellent problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills.
