Job description



  • The M&E Site Engineer will plan and supervise the M&E works (e.g. installations, lighting, air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation, etc.) in buildings and infrastructure construction.

  • He/She will co-ordinate the M&E works with the other ongoing site works and supervise contractors and workers to complete the M&E works within the given budget and timeline.

  • The M&E Engineer will advise on problem determination and solutions of M&E nature and is the key interface with the other building professionals on M&E matters.


Key Functions & Responsibilities



  • Develop and interpret accurate and efficient designs and drawings.

  • Coordinate with architects, civil/structural engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical and electrical systems during design, construction, and commissioning phases.

  • Provide reports, technical advice and resolve M&E technical issues on site.

  • Perform calculations and simulations to ensure system performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards

  • Ensure all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and codes.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices.


Competencies



  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical engineering.

  • Proficiency in design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, ETAP, etc.

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
