Overview:
The Account Officer will play a crucial role in managing financial operations within our hospitality establishment. The candidate will be responsible for reconciliation processes, managing payables and receivables, utilizing accounting software, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and implementing effective inventory management and cost control practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reconciliation of financial transactions, including payables and receivables, to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
- Utilize accounting software (Sage, Quickbooks, Zoho) proficiently for data entry, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and facilitate timely remittance of taxes to relevant authorities.
- Implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize wastage, and control costs.
- Prepare end-of-day sales reports, weekly financial reports, and monthly financial statements for management review.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities as required.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance financial operations.
